THE ATLANTA & GEORGIA CHAPTERS OF INDEPENDENT ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS OFFERS AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM FOR JOURNEY-PERSON ELECTRICIANS.
Just graduated? Not feeling college? Maybe you’ve done the college thing and you’re stuck in a job that has nothing to do with that college degree on the wall. Maybe its time to ditch the job and find a new career!
Did you know that you can earn as you learn in a paid apprenticeship to be an electrician!? Plus, no student loans to pay back. This is a high skilled, high demand career and the pay is great. *Average annual income for electricians is $60k and there’s plenty of demand for electricians in the industry.
The apprenticeship program operates in accordance with the US Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship Standards. The two main program requirements are: minimum of 576 hours of classroom training and 8,000 hours (up to 4 years) of on the job training.
Upon completion of classroom and job training, graduates will receive a Journey-person Certification that is acknowledged in all 50 states.
*Interested candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have reliable transportation.
